ATLANTIC CITY - Cooper Levenson recently announced that Brittany Bonetti has been named chair of the firm’s Cannabis Industry Practice Group. Bonetti, a partner based in the firm’s Atlantic City and Cherry Hill offices, has been a member of the firm’s Cannabis Industry Practice Group since its inception.
In her new role as chair, Bonetti will lead Cooper Levenson’s efforts to provide strategic legal counsel to cannabis businesses, including retailers, manufacturers and cultivators, as well as ancillary businesses. She will also continue the firm’s work advising businesses in the hemp industry. She will remain a member of the firm’s Health Care and Business Law Departments.
“Brittany’s deep understanding of complex regulatory environments and her experience advising clients onbusiness, healthcare, and compliance matters make her exceptionally well-suited to lead our Cannabis Industry Practice Group,” Health Care Department Chair Jill Ojserkis said in a release.“Her leadership will help our clients navigate the evolving cannabis market with confidence and clarity.”
Bonetti has been a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Cannabis and Psychedelic Law Special Committee since its formation, serves on its executive committee, and chairs its Municipal Law Section. She earned her law degree from Rutgers School of Law Camden, where she received the ABA-BNA Award for Excellence in the Study of Health Law. She holds a master’s degree in public health from the Rutgers School of Public Health, a bachelor’s degree from George Washington University.
Bonetti is a frequent lecturer and author on cannabis and health law topics. She is the recipient of numerous professional recognitions and awards.
