The Margate Police Department and Margate Education Foundation are planning a Spooktacular Family Friendly Event 4-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24 at the Eugene A. Tighe Middle School.
The festival of Halloween includes three big events: BooFest from 4-6 p.m. at the school’s athletic field, Trunk or Treat 6-7:30 p.m. in the school parking lot on Monmouth Avenue, and Haunted Hallways 6-8 p.m. in the hallways inside the school.
Food trucks will be onsite to feed hungry goblins throughout the evening. BooFest features music, fun, games, food and prizes. Leslie’s Dance Studio will perform during the Trunk or Treat event that provides children with candy treats.
Separate wristbands can be purchased for entry into BooFest and Haunted Hallways. BooFest bands are $10 for children, $5 for adults; Haunted Hallways wristbands are $10.
All proceeds benefit Margate school programs, the Dominick A. Potena Performing Arts Center. Participants are encouraged to bring a new or gently used winter coat for distribution through the Atlantic County Homeless Shelter.
