Polistina recognized for supporting people with disabilities

  • Community

ACCSES New Jersey, a statewide organization that advocates for individuals with disabilities and promotes inclusive employment opportunities, has announced that NJ Sen. Vince Polistina (R-Atlantic) was selected as its Legislator of the Year.

ACCSES NJ works with more than 1,000 organizations statewide to advance opportunities and independence for people with disabilities. The Legislator of the Year award highlights public officials who demonstrate exceptional commitment to this mission.

According to a release, Polistina has championed initiatives that strengthen the state’s workforce development system and ensure that individuals with disabilities have the resources they need to thrive.

“I’m honored to receive this recognition from ACCSES NJ,” Polistina said in a statement. “Supporting individuals with disabilities isn’t just good policy, it’s about dignity, opportunity, and making sure every New Jerseyan can contribute their talents to our communities.”

Polistina received the nomination from Career Opportunity Development, Inc., an Egg Harbor City based non-profit whose mission is to enrich the lives of differently abled individuals with physical, mental, developmental, or economic disabilities, helping them toward greater independence through employment, housing, and economic self-sufficiency.
