MARGATE - The Save Lucy Committee is holding a Halloween fundraiser 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18 at the nation’s favorite roadside attraction, Lucy the Elephant, that’s sure to please little ghosts and goblins as well as their family members.
The event includes a hayride on the beach, pumpkin patch painting, obstacle course, inflatable corn maze, games, food and lots more fun. Local food truck vendors and restaurants adding to the celebration are Ventura’s Greenhouse Restaurant and the Trunktoberfest Biergarten, Mad Mutz, Twist Pretzels & Ice Cream, Betty’s BBQ & Fried Chicken, PJ Buckets, and Taps ’58.
Lucy is also hosting an apple pie and pumpkin pie baking competition. Pies will be judged on presentation, flavor and texture. Enter for a chance to win a $100 Lucy the Elephant gift shop card. Admission to Lucy’s Trunktoberfest is $20 per person (ages 3 and up) and includes the activities and attractions only. Food and drinks sold separately.
Visitors will also be able to purchase event specific merchandise, such as a collectible Trunktoberfest Beer Stein and Trunktoberfest long- and short-sleeve T-shirts.
