New Jersey Senator Vince Polistina (R-2) will be honored with the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce’s Legislator of the Year Award during the Chamber’s Legislative and Business Awards reception Oct. 22 in Iselin.
“I’m deeply honored to receive this recognition from the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce,” Polistina said. “From boosting Atlantic City’s tourism economy to improving transportation infrastructure, I’m proud of the progress we’ve made to strengthen South Jersey’s economy and support responsible investment in our communities. I’ll continue fighting to ensure New Jersey remains a place where families and businesses can flourish.”
“We are proud to recognize Sen. Polistina for his advocacy on behalf of South Jersey’s economy and his leadership in advancing policies that support business growth, tourism, and affordability,” chamber President and CEO Tom Bracken said in a release.
“From his work to establish a tourism district in Atlantic City and create the County Tourism Incentive Grant Fund, to his support for transportation infrastructure and affordable higher education, Sen. Polistina has consistently fought for change that strengthens our economy and improves quality of life. We are grateful for his leadership in advancing policies that reduce unnecessary burdens and support job creation so all businesses in the state can thrive.”
Polistina, who serves as the Senate Republican Deputy Conference Leader, is a member of the Labor Committee and the State Government, Wagering, Tourism & Historic Preservation Committee. He has consistently advocated for policies that expand economic opportunity and create jobs to enhance South Jersey’s workforce and infrastructure, the release stated.
The chamber hosts its Legislative and Business Awards ceremony every two years to recognize legislators who have been champions of economic growth, prosperity, and a business-friendly climate in the state.
