Shore Physicians Group is preparING for flu season by offering two convenient drive-through flu vaccine clinics this fall.
The first clinic will be held 1-4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19 at Shore Physicians Group’s Primary Care office, 401 Bethel Road in Somers Point. The second clinic will be held 1-4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17 at Shore Physicians Group’s Northfield office, 2605 Shore Road.
Flu vaccines will be available for adults age 18 and older, with specific vaccines for patients 65 and older. Individuals at high risk are encouraged to discuss flu vaccination with their primary care provider before attending.
Although pharmacies began offering flu shots as early as August, the CDC recommends vaccination in September and October for the best protection throughout flu season.
SPG patients can schedule their appointments by calling 609-365-6200. Each appointment is scheduled in 5-minute blocks to keep the process fast and convenient.
This year’s clinics are for the flu vaccine only. COVID-19 boosters or combination flu/COVID vaccines are not available at these events; patients seeking those options should contact their local pharmacy.
