The Atlantic County Division of Public Health has announced its schedule of free flu shot clinics being held in various locations throughout the county, Sept. 25 through Oct. 17.
Everyone 6 months and older should get a yearly flu shot. Adults over age 65, children younger than 5, pregnant people and those with health conditions such as diabetes, asthma, kidney disease and heart problems, are at a greater risk of developing serious flu complications. Getting vaccinated can prevent severe illness, doctor visits, missed work or school, hospitalization and even death.
Free flu vaccines are available for residents over age 18 with no appointment at the following times and locations:
Adult walk-in flu clinics will resume 9 a.m. to noon every Tuesday starting Nov. 18 at the Atlantic County Division of Health, 201 S. Shore Rd., Northfield, and 10 a.m. to noon, the third Tuesday of the month at 310 Bellevue Ave., Hammonton.
Pediatric flu vaccinations are available at 201 S. Shore Rd., Northfield, and 310 Bellview Ave., Hammonton, by appointment only. Call 609-645-5933.
