The Longport Board of Commissioners has revised its meeting schedule to accommodate the commissioners' attendance at the Wounded Warrior Week parade and welcome ceremony being held in the bayfront park behind Borough Hall.
The next regular meeting of the board will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, one hour earlier than the normal start time.
The meeting should be over by the time the parade passes through Ventnor, Marage and finally to Longport Borough Hall. The parade is scheduled to leave Ski Beach in Ventnor and arrive in Longport at approximately 5:30 p.m.
The welcome ceremony will include remarks from Mayor Patrick Armstrong and various presentations to this year's recipient, U.S. Army Green Beret Sgt. 1st Class Chase Tanton.
