No citation for Margate driver who struck two in Sam's parking lot

  • Atlantic County

An 82-year-old driver who struck two people after losing control in a Pleasantville parking lot was not ticketed, BreakingAC has confirmed.

Linda Neely, of Margate, was backing out of the spot at the Sam's Club when she told police her shoe caught on the gas pedal, and she went speeding backward.

The scene was captured on dashcam from a vehicle parked nearby.

Anthony Samuel, 60, of Pleasantville, is seen being hit and falling to the ground before getting up. He was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus in Atlantic City.

Diane Jackson, 70, of Absecon, also was injured. She was taken to AtlantiCare's Mainland Campus in Galloway Township.

No tickets were issued, and there is no further investigation, Pleasantville Police Chief Stacey Schlachter told BreakingAC.
