Traffic Advisory: Various locations along Route 40

The New Jersey Department of Transportation has announced traffic advisories for Monday through Friday, Sept. 15-19, including temporary closures both eastbound and westbound along Route 40 from Mays Landing to Atlantic City to accommodate electric traffic signal upgrades.

• Temporary right lane closures, Franklin Boulevard in Pleasantville to West End Avenue intersection in Atlantic City from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Temporary shoulder lane closures, Franklin Boulevard in Pleasantville to West End Avenue intersection in Atlantic City from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Temporary right lane closures, English Creek Avenue to Tilton Road intersection in Egg Harbor Township from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The shoulder lane and right lane closures are essential for conducting underground electrical work and traffic signal installation.

Motorists are advised to reduce speed, exercise caution and anticipate potential delays in the work area. The schedule may be adjusted based on weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstance.
