Atlantic City police are investigating after a verbal altercation Easter Sunday turned violent at the Showboat.
Police were called to the Showboat at 10:37 p.m. in reference to a stabbing.
Officers arrived to find a 38-year-old Severn, Md., woman was assaulted.
Video posted on Instagram by atlanticcityrizz shows part of the fight, and a woman appear to be knocked out cold.
The woman was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus. Her injuries were not considered life-threatening.
Officers also learned that a man was stabbed but was gone before police arrived.
The 38-year-old Newark man was found at the hospital, after friends drove him there, police said.
Other media inaccurately reported that two people were stabbed, which apparently was from reports via scanner.
It is important to remind the public that initial reports that come over the scanner at a scene are not confirmed news and often change as more is learned after police and other emergency personnel respond.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call police at 609-347-5766. Information may be submitted anonymously to tip411 (847411), beginning the tex with ACPD.
