ATLANTIC CITY - The PR Council of Greater Atlantic City has announced the passing of organizational leader, Bill Cradle, who served as the council’s president for many years.
Cradle gave his time and talents to numerous organizations, including the Absecon Lighthouse, Atlantic City Ballet, Literacy Volunteers, and the South Jersey AIDS Alliance. He was a familiar and welcoming presence at events throughout the region, always greeting others with a smile and an unmistakably positive spirit that will be deeply missed.
An accomplished entrepreneur, Cradle founded and successfully operated Atlantic Color, Ltd., a graphic design and printing firm that served clients, such as the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority, Harrah’s Atlantic City and Showboat. A graduate of Perth Amboy schools, he went on to study journalism at Rutgers University, a background that informed his thoughtful approach to communications throughout his career.
Members of the PR Council said his impact was “immeasurable."
“We will miss him greatly and hope he knew how deeply he was respected, appreciated, and valued by all who had the privilege of knowing him,” they said in a release.
The PR Council will share information about a memorial service as information becomes available.
