MAYS LANDING - Atlantic Cape Community College has announced that its 59th Commencement Ceremony will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 21 in Ovation Hall at Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City.
The move marks the first time in the college’s history that a commencement ceremony will be held off-campus. Since 1967, the college has held its annual formal graduation festivities at its main campus in Mays Landing. Each year, from wind and rain to clear and sunny skies, hundreds of family members, friends and loved ones have gathered on-site to witness the awarding of associate degrees and certificates.
This year, to accommodate the ever-growing number of students and guests attending our annual commencement ceremony proceedings, Atlantic Cape will celebrate the hard work and academic excellence of our graduates in style under the bright lights of Ocean’s Ovation Hall where many big acts have performed before tens of thousands of spectators over the years.
“Moving our commencement to the Ocean Casino Resort is a momentous step for our College. Ocean is a venue that exudes elegance and excitement, and we are thrilled to partner with them for this highly-anticipated annual event,” said Natalie Devonish, vice president of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management. “This move allows us to reimagine the way we honor our graduates while creating an unforgettable experience that matches the magnitude of their accomplishments.”
