EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP - The 2025 #Great Big Diaper Drive, spearheaded by Women Fighting Hunger South Jersey, brought in great big contributions, topping 2024 totals. WFH, a volunteer group supporting the Community FoodBank of New Jersey, has held the drive since 2021.
The drive provided families facing diaper need with more than 1,900 pounds of diapers and related products, a 160% increase over 2024. The drive also raised $1,900 in cash donations, allowing CFBNJ to purchase 11,400 additional diapers.
Nearly one in two families struggles to afford paying for diapers which are not covered by most federally funded public assistance programs.
A team of WFH volunteers ran the effort, recruiting school clubs, businesses, medical offices, and community and faith-based groups to run their own drives. “We are grateful for these community partners,” drive Co-chair Julia Zauner said. “Because of their efforts, more babies in our community will stay clean, dry and healthy, and more parents will be able to work, attend school and care for their families with dignity and peace of mind.”
Donations of diapers, wipes and baby creams, as well as adult incontinence products, are accepted year-round during business hours at the CFBNJ Warehouse, 6735 Black Horse Pike, Egg Harbor Township.
