Mays Landing massage parlor busted for prostitution

  • Crime-Courts

A Mays Landing spa was offering more than massages, according to charges filed Wednesday.

Two women were arrested as police searched Waterfall Therapy in the Festival Mall, following a lengthy investigation into allegations of prostitution at the business.

Cuie Chen, 50, and Wen-Juin Zhou, 60, each were charged with third-degree counts of prostitution and conspiracy to commit prostitution. They were released on summonses.

"At Waterfall Spa, we understand that true luxury extends beyond the massage," the business' website says.

No details of the investigation were released, and the affidavits of probable cause were not immediately available.

The business did not hide that it was geared toward serving men.

"At Waterfall Spa, our exclusive massage offerings are designed with the modern man in mind," it reads. "Elevate your experience with the captivating dance of our 4-hand massage, a symphony of skilled therapists working in harmony to enhance your sense of well-being."

It continues.

"Our space exudes an atmosphere of refined masculinity, offering a sanctuary where you can unwind, recharge, and escape the hustle of everyday life," the site states. "Revel in the extra touches crafted for the modern man, including the comfort of complimentary hot towels that envelop your skin in warmth, enhancing the overall experience. Luxuriate in the invigorating embrace of our table showers, a rejuvenating addition designed to leave you feeling refreshed and energized."

One resident had the business pegged as "one of those spots" back in December 2023.

"Do not patronize this establishment unless you are a man ... you will not feel wanted," read her Yelp review written in all caps Dec. 30, 2023.

She then added that "the lady was dressed to be seen by men only. Definitely one of those spots. Do not let your husband go. It is definitely the spot."

The investigation is ongoing, police said.

Township police thanked the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office and New Jersey State Police for their assistance throughout the investigation.
