An emergency utility repair closed Mill Road in Northfield on Thursday morning.
The area between Route 9 and Zion Road is closed for work by NJ American Water Co.
It is expected to stay closed through 5 a.m. Friday.
Motorists should avoid the area and seek an alternate route.
Below are the updated road work plans as of March 26.
The intersection of Mill and Zion roads will be closed to through traffic overnight from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. weekdays through April 2, for city work.
Motorists should follow the posted detour and plan travel time accordingly. Police and traffic directors will be on site to assist.
Work by NJ American Water Co. along Shore Road will have various detours throughout the week.
A full detour will be in place on Shore Road between Maryland and Dawes avenues from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, weather permitting, for work by NJ American Water Co.
The detour will be at the intersection of Shore and Maryland Avenue from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.
The detour moves to the area between Maryland and Pleasant avenues to Bethel Road from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday.
Motorists should follow the posted traffic signage and plan travel time accordingly. Police and traffic directors will be on site to assist.
