ACIT students gave manicures to residents at Seashore Gardens Living Center.
GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP - Glamour Girls from the Atlantic County Institute of Technology held a pampering session for residents at Seashore Gardens Living Center in April. The students, studying cosmetology, provided manicures to residents. While there, they also engaged in lively conversations and entertaining games with the seniors.
Seniors and students have a chance to create bonds with repeat visits.
Not only does such intergenerational initiatives give students the opportunity to hone their skills, they provide an invaluable service by forming social bonds and companionship with the seniors. These events offer a chance for seniors and teenagers alike to forge connections, find meaning, and learn from each other's experiences.
Residents got to choose their favorite color and chat with the students, a highlight of the visit.
