All three Downbeach towns allow visitors to purchase beach tags at discounted prices before the official start of the summer beach bathing season.
Ventnor
Beach tags are required for all individuals 12 and older. Seasonal tags can be purchased before June 1 for $10, and $3.50 for seasonal senior citizens tags. After May 31, the price increases to $20 for the season.
Tags can be purchased at Ventnor City Hall via cash, check, credit/debit cards, or online at https://www.jerseycapetags.com/, and tags will be mailed to your home. Digital beach tags can be purchased through the My Beach Mobile App. Once purchased, the digital tags are stored in the app as an animated QR code that can be shown to tag checkers. All purchases are final. Digital tags cannot be traded for physical tags. Download the app at Apple | Android. Please have tags ready to show at the beach entrance and on the beach when requested by badge checkers.
Ventnor City Hall will also be open for in-person for beach badge sales 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, May 17-18 and May 24-25, Monday, May 26, and Saturday, May 31, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Margate
Beach tags can be purchased in person at the Martin Bloom Pavilion, Granville Avenue at the beach 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Weekend hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Pre-season rates before May 31 are $10 for anyone over age 12 and $3.50 for senior citizens. Starting June 1, all tags will be $20. Free seasonal tags are available for veterans and active duty military. Spouses of active duty members are also free. Must present proper military identification to qualify.
Beach tags can be purchased online at Jersey Cape Tags. Tags will be mailed via USPS.
Also, digital beach tags are available at MyBeach Mobile, which allows users the ability to purchase digital tags without the hassle of having to carry around a beach tag. Under Pass Type you must choose Digital Pass or Physical Pass. Download the app at Apple or Android.
Longport
Borough of Longport beach tags will be available for sale 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday at Borough Hall, 2305 Atlantic Ave. Tags will also be sold at Borough Hall 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, May 24-25. Cash or check at the window. Credit or debit cards are not accepted. No sales on Memorial Day. Staring June 7, tags will be available at the window at the Community Building, 33rd Avenue at the beach. Hours TBA.
The last day to purchase tags at pre-season rates is June 6.
The pre-season rate is $20 for anyone over age 12, senior tags are $10. After June 6, fees increase to $35, $15 for seniors.
