Traffic Advisory
Traffic advisories have been issued for the Atlantic City Ironman Triathlon being held Sunday, Sept. 19 and roadwork in Margate for the week of Sept. 16-20.
The 70.3 mile Atlantic City Ironman triathlon will close Atlantic City Expressway Exits 1, 2, 3 and 4. between 3:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15. Expect heavy traffic delays on Albany Avenue/U.S. Rt. 322 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Recommend using AC Expressway to exit and enter Atlantic City, and use West End Avenue or Downbeach Express to enter, exit the Downbeach area.
Beginning Monday, Sept, 15 through Friday, Sept. 20, various lane and shoulder closures will be in effect on Ventnor Avenue in Margate between Coolidge and Fredericksburg avenue, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., weather permitting, for county road work.
Motorists may experience minor delays and should plan travel time accordingly or seek an alternate route.
