Dear Residents of the Borough of Longport:

During this difficult time, please rest assured that the Borough has been working tirelessly to ensure the safety of you and your family and the continuance of essential government operations.

Public access to Borough Hall has been restricted, but services continue online and a drop box has been placed in the Longport Police Department for borough related business. Tax and utility payment, as well as Municipal Court information can be found online at www.longportnj.gov.

Limited Borough Hall office staff continue to work in the building and will be available by telephone. If your phone call is not answered immediately, please leave a message and your call will be returned. The Public Works Department will continue operations with a partial crew, all while following CDC guidelines, including social distancing.

The Longport Public Library is taking phone calls from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday at 609-487-7403, as well as monitoring library email to assist patrons with accessing material.

It goes without saying that our emergency services, police, fire and emergency medical services are available 24 hours a day. We are in constant contact with federal, state and county emergency officials and continue to monitor this situation. Please follow CDC guidelines and together we will get through these challenging times.

Sincerely,

Mayor Nick Russo

Commissioner James Leeds, Sr.

Commissioner Daniel Lawler
