Beach tags are still not available in Longport at this time, but can be purchased in Margate and Ventnor.
The borough has been unable to secure tags due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, officials are monitoring the situation and will issue updates about beach openings in the coming weeks.
Beach tags that can be used in both Ventnor and Margate can be purchased at Ventnor City Hall, 6201 Atlantic Ave., at the Cambridge Avenue entrance starting Saturday, May 9. Follow social distancing guidelines.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays.
Seasonal badges are $7 (ages 12-64), $3.50 for seniors 65 and over through May 31. The price increases to $15 afterward. No weekly badges will be available this year. They can be paid for using cash, check or money order only, but check or money order is preferred due to COVID-19. Badges can also be purchased through the Viply app, and picked up at City Hall if the order is received by the close of business Wednesday of the prior week.
More information is available at ventnorcity.org.
Beach badges can be purchased at the Martin Bloom Pavilion, 101 S. Huntington Ave. (behind the Margate City Public Library) staring Friday, May 15. Hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. Social distancing must be observed. Badges that were paid for in advance can also be picked up at the Bloom Pavilion.

Beach access is currently restricted to walking, jogging and running in all three municipalities. No sitting, sunbathing, sports or gathering in groups is permitted at this time. Look for information about beach openings in the coming weeks. And as always, only swim where lifeguards are stationed.
