Longport Beach Patrol Explorers program.
The Longport Beach Patrol will be holding a Junior Lifeguard camp 10-11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday, July 31 to Aug. 4 for children ages 12-16.
The program provides young people with the opportunity to learn what it takes to become a lifeguard. Participation includes drills, rescue techniques and other activities.
Applications for the Explorers program can be obtained at Longport Beach Patrol Headquarters at 33rd and Atlantic avenues.
Applications will be accepted until Friday, July 28.
