Heart of Surfing
The Margate and Longport fire departments and beach patrols will be hosting a Heart of Surfing Day 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 29 on the beach at Coolidge Avenue in Margate.
The event provides children with autism and developmental disabilities with a 30-minute one-on-one surfing session with a volunteer surf instructor. The focus of the event is to create a positive experience for each surfer and help them build their surfing skills.
