Learn about cannabis and tourism at free online webinar

GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP - A panel of cannabis industry experts will lead a free online webinar focusing on cannabis tourism 1 p.m. Friday, March 10.

The webinar titled, Destination Cannabis: Evolving Cannabis Hospitality & Tourism for a Mainstream Audience, will discuss legal recreational cannabis use, its impact on resort destinations and opportunities for New Jersey hospitality and tourism businesses and beyond.

Rob Mejia, a teaching specialist in cannabis studies at Stockton, will serve as moderator. Mejia is the author of multiple books written specifically to introduce adults to the cannabis industry and is the president of Our Community Harvest: A Cannabis Education Company.

Brian Applegarth, founder of the Cannabis Travel Association

  • Elizabeth Becker, founder of HiBnb, a website promoting events and destinations that explore cannabis in safe and supportive environments

  • Dr. Susan Dupej, a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Guelph in Canada. She's co-founder and president of the Canadian Cannabis Tourism Alliance.


  • Following the discussion, the panelists will take questions from the virtual audience.
