Ventnor Police seek the public's help in locating this vehicle, believed to be a black Audi involved in a hit and run accident that injured a bicyclist.
Ventnor City detectives and police officer announced they arrested a Ventnor City man for the hit and run of a bicyclist riding on the 700-block of Burleigh Avenue on Saturday, Sept. 9 during the Downbeach Seafood Festival.
Further investigation into the accident led to the arrest of Keith R. Kaplan, 64 of Ventnor, who was the owner of a black Audi that hit the cyclist.
Kaplan was charged on a summons with assault by auto, leaving the scene of an accident resulting in serious bodily injury, and multiple motor vehicle offenses.
Ventnor City Police sought public's help in identifying the driver allegedly involved in the hit and run accident 4:33 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9 at Burghley and Marshall avenues.
The bicyclist sustained moderate injury and was transported to a local hospital. The accident took place during the Downbeach Seafood Festival being held at Ski Beach just a few blocks away.
Police said they were looking for a black vehicle believed to be an Audi.
The accident was investigated by Sgt. James Franco.
