Tashlich service for children to be held on Margate beach

MARGATE - Reform Congregation Beth Israel of Northfield will share the beauty and tradition of the High Holidays by holding a Young Children's Tashlich Service 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16 on the beach at Huntington Avenue. The service is open to the community and all are welcome.

The service will include a symbolic casting away of sins by tossing bread into the sea and the blowing of the shofar. Families are encouraged to bring their own shofar to the beach.

Other Rosh Hashanah services and programs are being held at the Northfield synagogue at 2501 Shore Road, Northfield.
