LONGPORT – The Beach Patrol is currently accepting applications for its annual Explorers Junior Lifeguard program being held July 29 through Aug. 2 for teens and pre-teen ages 12-15.
The program provides young people with the opportunity to learn what it takes to become a lifeguard. Participation includes drills, rescue techniques and other activities.
The program will be held 10-11:30 a.m. each day on the beach at 33rd Avenue.
Applications can be picked up at Longport Beach Patrol Headquarters, 33rd and Atlantic avenue.
Applications are due back no later than July 26.
