Healthy communities lead to an overall enhanced quality of life.

To help identify the public health needs of Atlantic County residents and the communities where they live, the Division of Public Health is conducting a Community Health Assessment survey for residents 18 years and older.

This is an opportunity for county residents to share their opinions and concerns about their health and the health of their communities, Atlantic County Executive Dennis Levinson said in a release. The data collected will provide vital information about the current health status and needs of county residents and will help us develop a Community Health Improvement Plan.

Access to the survey will be available May 6 through June 30 in English, Spanish, Bengali, Chinese (simplified), and Vietnamese, on the new county website at www.atlanticcountynj.gov.

The survey takes about 15 minutes to complete and includes questions about community, such as access to parks, grocery stores, and availability of and access to health services throughout Atlantic County.  All responses are voluntary and remain confidential. Participants may answer as many questions as they are comfortable to respond to.

For questions or assistance accessing the survey, call the Division of Public Health at 609-645-5935.
