LONGPORT – Mayor Nicholas Russo Wednesday, June 19 administered the oath of office to Eric Grimley who was promoted to the rank of captain of the Longport Beach Patrol.

Beach Patrol Chief Tom Kresz said Grimley, a longtime veteran of the beach patrol, is well respected in the community. He serves as a role model for the lifeguards, residents and the youngsters who frequent Longport’s beaches.

“We are grateful that he applied for the job and took the position,” Kresz said.
