Margate Public Works collecting donations for hurricane relief

MARGATE - The city's Public Works Department is holding a drive for hurricane relief for eastern southern states that were devasted in storms over the last week.

Hurricane relief donations can be dropped off in the bin at the Public Works Yard, 101 N. Benson Ave. 

The donations will be delivered next week.

Items needed are:

  • Non-perishable food
  • Non-refrigerated canned milk
  • Water
  • Can openers
  • Baby food/ formula
  • Diaper rash ointment
  • Bottles/sippy cups
  • Baby pouches & purées 
  • Baby spoons
  • Shampoo/conditioner
  • Body wash / soap
  • Toothbrushes/toothpaste
  • Hand sanitizer 
  • Deodorant 
  • Depends 
  • Feminine hygiene products
  • Towels
  • Pre-made sanitary kits
  • Band aids
  • First aid kits
  • Chewable or liquid Benadryl
  • NEW Underwear 
  • NEW socks
  • Cat food/liter
  • Dog food
  • Flea/tick Meds
  • Blankets
  • Sleeping Bags
