Green team seeks volunteers to help cleanup pollinator garden

  • Community

The Ventnor City Green Team is seeking volunteer power for a community project designed to educate the public about the lifecycle of Monarch butterflies, bees and other pollinators.

A spring cleanup and mulching project will be held Friday and Saturday, June 13-14 at the Ventnor West Pollinator Garden located behind the Ventnor Educational Community Complex on the 400-block of Lafayette Avenue.

Volunteers are asked to bring their own garden tools and gloves to help weed and refresh the garden planted a few years ago. The garden has matured and maintenance is now needed.

Volunteers of all ages can assist, but children must be accompanied by an adult.

Cleanups will be held 9-11 a.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, and 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday. Come to one or all sessions.
