GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP - The biannual Community Resource Fair at Stockton University will bring together local, state and federal agencies to the Campus Center 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, March 13.
The Community Resource Fair will also include workforce development and nonprofit organizations, social and community programs, counseling and mental health services, and more.
Organized by Stockton University's Military and Veteran Success Center and the Center for Community Engagement & Service-Learning, more than 40 service providers are planning to attend.
According to Heather Swenson-Brilla of SCCESL, this event affirms Stockton’s commitment to serving as an Anchor Institution for the community.
“Offering events like this to our community directly addresses Stockton's vision of being committed to the positive development of southern New Jersey,” Swenson-Brilla said. “Our goal is also to connect on- and off-campus support resources for students to help them create a stronger network and build resiliency so that they can meet their goals while at Stockton and after they graduate.”
Some of the agencies attending include the American Red Cross, Atlantic Center for Independent Living, AVANZAR, Center for Family Services, the Community Food Bank, the New Jersey Department of Military and Veteran Administration and South Jersey Legal Services.
